Miocom cement mini-plants provide environment protection
Global climate changes on the planet is an issue, which shall currently concern every planet inhabitant.
The greatest harm to the climate and the ecological environment is inflicted by the C02 discharges of industrial enterprises into the atmosphere.
If a common man of an average life span reduces his С02 discharges by 50%, he would decrease a discharge of 8 tons of С02 into the atmosphere (for this purpose he would have to halve the number of his travels, as well as heating, power supply, the quantity of consumed foodstuffs and building materials).
But if the enterprises operating in the building industry cut their С02 discharges by half, they would reduce their С02 discharges by 4 million tons per year!
Therefore, if half of Portland cement is replaced with an ecologically friendly cement during construction, for example, Ecocement, the С02 discharges are reduced by 2 million tons per year!
Ecocement (its international name is GGBFS) is an ecologically friendly building material, the quality of which has been tested for already more than 100 years all over the world. Ecocement is manufactured by processing at a Miocom cement mini-plant, of blast-furnace granulated slag.
Granulated slag is a by-product of cast iron production, it is sold by metallurgical plants as a waste. Therefore, replacing a part of portland
cement with the Ecocement, you exert favourable influence upon the environment recycling the wastes of metallurgical plants. Furnaces are not used when processing the slag at a cement mini-plant, that is why the С02 discharges are reduced to zero!
Ecocement is delivered from a Miocom cement mini-plant to construction projects in big bags or by cement trucks, just like Portland cement, where, in case concrete is manufactured in a concrete-mixing machine, a part of portland cement is replaced with Ecocement.
It is possible to replace 30-70% of portland cement, but usually 40-50% are replaced.

It is just a matter of changing of one line in your specification and replacement of 50% of portland cement with Ecocement. The fact is that it will not in any way affect the quality of the products and structures in terms of quality, the quality of concretes containing 50% of portland cement and 50% of Ecocement are higher than portland cement-based concretes. These concretes have higher strength, frost-resistance, heat-resistance, resistance to penetration of chlorides. Besides, Ecocement is cheaper than portland cement.
