Ecocement

One of the primary building materials of the current century is cement. This is the most important component in concrete manufacture. 

Cement can be of several categories – oilwell cement, Ecocement, pozzolanic cement, portland cement, portland blast-furnace slag cement, etc.

No secret that in the recent years the cement price rises unreasonably. In addition to this, with ever increasing frequency we can observe cement 

shortages, what results in the fact that low-quality, undermilled and even as much as counterfeit cement, diluted, for example, with flue ash appears 

in the market. It threatens a loss of quality when manufacturing concrete products and undermines the reputation of the enterprise manufacturing 

concrete products.

One of the options of a way out of the situation formed in the cement market can be opening an in-house cement production or putting it the other way 

round - of a local cement mini-plant by the plants manufacturing concrete and concrete products,.

At present, our company offers mini-plants for manufacturing cheap Ecocement with the efficiency of 3, 6, 12, 24 and 48 tons per hour.

Everything is simple. The plant can be deployed in any premises (capital or temporary prefabricated, it does not matter) with the ceiling height of at least 9 meters and with the sizes of at least 35 by 10 meters.

The availability of the access routes depends on the way by which the slag will be delivered from the metallurgical industrial complex: when delivering by motor transport, the access routes will not be necessary. Therefore, it will be most efficient to 

deploy the plant in the closest vicinity from the metallurgical industrial complex and to transport the cement to the customer, since the finished cement transportation costs are lower than the slag delivery costs.

There shall be an open (still better – under cover) ground outdoors for storage of the slag stocks, to which it will be transported; you can calculate the ground sizes yourselves – the plant processes at least 60 tons of the slag per day, therefore, at least 120 tons of the slag will be placed on the ground. 

Then the front-end loader will deliver the slag onto the belt conveyor of the cylinder drier, after the processing workflow, the finished Ecocement is manufactured at the plant outlet, from where it is delivered to the line of pre-packaging of the cement 

into big bags, following which it will be delivered to the customer. You will probably have to install a storage tank in case if you are going to ship the cement into cement trucks.

Depending on the applied alkali component, slag-lime concrete can have the compression density of up to 150 MPa (for example, steel 3 has 210 MPa). 

Frost-resistance – up to 1,000 freezing – thawing-out cycles.

 Slag-lime concrete can be well laid into a metal formwork at low temperatures of up to -50 without losing its strength from freezing.

Based on Ecocement, any concrete can be prepared – heavy concrete, light concrete, cellular concrete. Foamed concrete manufactured of Foam concrete made of Ecocement has gained an excellent reputation.

As an aggregate, like in an ordinary concrete, use is made of sand, crushed rock, as well as dump slags of metallurgical industrial complexes or volcanic activity products.

 

Here are some advantages of the slag-lime 

concrete over the concrete prepared on the basis of ordinary portland cement:

 

  • provision of the concrete strength class from В60 to В120;

  • water demand decreased by 25-30% of the mortar and concrete mixes of the equal fluidity;

  • high sulphates resistance, the sulphates resistance coefficient is lower that that of the sulphates-resistance cement;

  • decreased heat emission of hardening;

  • frost-resistance increased by 2-3 times as compared to concretes based on portland cement resulting from the fine concrete structure;

  • high intensity of the strength development of slag-lime concrete enables to refuse from the steam curing treatment and to gain the strength necessary for the formwork stripping within 12-14 

    hours.
